Silvered bronze, rarer the other decorative techniques associated with bronze such as ormolu, it refers to the process of covering soft bronze works with thin layers of silver. An attractive, silvered finish is produced, pieces are never hallmarked but may have a makers mark.

The design; Tulip shaped capital with anthemion leaf decoration, the column adorned with cartouche and garlands and base ornamented with acanthus leaves and bud designs.
